Hey VC community,
It has been a really big few weeks since I last wrote.
We moved!
A lot can be said about the massive ordeals, challenges, and gifts in the quickness of change that has occurred, but I think the essence of the wisdom can be distilled by an ancient Chinese parable… Ha, yes… Ancient Chinese wisdom is real.
I will attach the parable and a few other quotes at the bottom for your enjoyment.
The punchline is you just never know how things will turn out.
The true meaning of an event unfolds layer by layer, and it’s usually that blasted hindsight, once all is said and done, that the real clarity arises!
WTF!? – a beloved teacher recently lamented…”Why is it always hindsight everything makes sense?!”

Good and Bad constantly hang in the balance of mindset, reactivity, point of view, resilience… etc., etc.
And the basic fact is… Most of what happens next is completely out of our control.
I mean, whatever scale you want to piece that out on… From the super-mega colossal to the extreme microscopic… That thing we call human agency is like the tiniest band in the spectrum ever.
((Admittedly, it is narcissistically inflated for practical reasons all the time…but I digress))
And yet,
And yet,
And yet….
That experience you and I have of having some choice in the matters of life… is everything.
So this is actually a story of what happens when we take that human band of agency and apply it to the fullest.
Because it is also undeniable that to deny this phenomenology of control, agency, choice is foolish at best and catastrophic at worst.
I’m reminded of the sage wisdom, “Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative and creation, there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too.” — William Hutchison Murray
It is in this spirit, I am reporting where we are at.
Committed, And in the stream of splendid plans!

Over here at VC HQ, we have metamorphosed from a humble oceanside abode to a home with accommodations practically custom-tailored to hold the highest octave of this visionary work.
I don’t say that lightly… It’s a strange feeling of hyper-lucidity to actually be in this particular part of the good dream.
I will spare details here and opt for sharing more intimately in conversations to come.
But from this spirit of raw enthusiasm for what is becoming, if ever there was a time to forsake the ceaseless mundanity of limiting, constricting, painful fears – it is now.
Its like this beautiful quote,

So there you have it.
This spring 2024 we are all in on the movement from good to great, great to legendary genius… And we hope to deepen that collaboration with you each step of the way, playing the game of evolutionary synergy to the fullest.

Chinese Parable:
A farmer and his son cherished their horse, which not only helped with their farm work but also contributed significantly to their livelihood. One day, the horse escaped from the stable and vanished. The neighbors, upon hearing the news, rushed to the farmer, exclaiming, “Your horse has run away, what terrible luck!” The farmer calmly responded, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”
A few days later, the horse returned, but it was not alone; it brought several wild horses with it. The neighbors gathered around, amazed, and declared, “Your horse has returned and brought several more with him. What great luck!” Again, the farmer simply said, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”
Later that week, while attempting to train one of the new horses, the farmer’s son was thrown off and landed awkwardly, fracturing his leg. The neighbors came to see the son and said, “Your son broke his leg trying to tame a horse, what terrible luck!” Once more, the farmer replied, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”
A few weeks passed, and the army came to the village, drafting young men for service. They did not take the farmer’s son because of his broken leg. The neighbors rejoiced, telling the farmer, “Your son has been spared from the draft, what tremendous luck!” The farmer just smiled and answered, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”

All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favour all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance which no man could have dreamed would have come his way.
