States of Perception: At an Evolutionary Threshold

Hi Visionary explorers and friends of the great mystery,

What a wonderful and terrifying time we are in.

People often ask, has it always been like this?

Yes and No: Here is my take in 11 seconds after playing a bit with Gen-3 Alpha and tantalizing my imagination with the new wave of exponential tech increase.

It definitely hasn’t always been like this…

Yes, in the sense that life has always been super intense to the lucidly aware, filled with tremendous pain and pleasure, suffering, and revelation…

But no, in the sense that we are, assuredly on a cresting wave of the evolutionary time horizon. This moment is holy novel and spectacular.

~

I’ve been re-inspired by Chris Bache’s challenging and provocative book “LSD and the Mind of the Universe” and the way he describes the truly massive arc of evolutionary time in the unfolding Kosmos.

He shares the awe inspiring vision that what we see within our earthly evolution is that thousands upon thousands of years are building towards something most certainly…And this is huge!

But we may in fact have hundreds of thousands of millions of years to go.

Our experience of evolution may be wildly elementary to what is truly possible in the spectacular magnificence of the grand scale of the universe.

So, like the metaphor of a birth, where the gestation is long, slow, and developmental… and the transition is short, intense, and dramatic.

We are very likely in the time of a birth.

We have had the last few centuries of evolutionary build up and now what is coming through is unprecedented and intense.

Life and Death hang in the balance and as we navigate a collective near death and ecstatic life experience, we wonder…

Will we make it through?

I think it’s important to stoke the fire of remembrance that the future is up for grabs.

I love how Paulo Coelho riffed on this in his book “The Alchemist,” when he wrote how God only reveals visions to his prophets if the visions are meant to be changed.

Perhaps it is by the very nature of seeing the beauty and horror of what is possible that we gain the necessary agency to play our unique role in a new unfolding.

~

So my aim here is to inspire full commitment and full engagement to living fully into the dream now. Make it Lucid.

Life isn’t happening to us… It is us. As someone once mused… ‘there is no justice, Just-Us.”

So, my proposal here is that our level of commitment to the evolutionary dharma project is the key that shapes experience.

The more “all in” you are on the unique facet of the jewel that is yours and yours alone to do… the more up for grabs the future becomes.

This is about getting wildly playful and deadly serious about the full extent and import of what really happens when we are on a real healing, awakening, and evolutionary journey.

Don’t judge what you are here to do… just do it.

There’s a quote by Steven Pressfield from his book The War of Art that captures this sentiment: “It is not our job to judge the value of our work; our job is to do our work.”

Get into the full yes of your quest, as this changes everything, and in that, everything changes.

Or like Wayne Dyer once said, “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

~

So, as we dance, play, grieve, and create with ourselves, our loved ones, and our community…

I invite you to consider how ancient healing technologies can co-mingle with multimedia AI technologies…

Allowing us infinite game players to manifest our visions more rapidly, beautifully, and with a greater eye towards altruism.

This can lead to the exaltation of karma (where you see causes and effects in real time with vivid clarity.)

That in these precious moments of quickening,

Our moment-to-moment state of being,

informs perceptions unfolding…

…And thus artistic agency in what is to be… unfolding.

This might all seem too grandiose or narcissistic if you get a little “I” involved in there… And it may be… (que the existential pragmatism…)

But from the Gnostic revelation of trans-personal experience, it seems rather matter of fact.

How could it be any other way?

“And therefore, all of those for whom authentic transformation has deeply unseated their souls must, I believe, wrestle with the profound moral obligation to shout form the heart—perhaps quietly and gently, with tears of reluctance; perhaps with fierce fire and angry wisdom; perhaps with slow and careful analysis; perhaps by unshakable public example—but authentically always and absolutely carries a a demand and duty: you must speak out, to the best of your ability, and shake the spiritual tree, and shine your headlights into the eyes of the complacent. You must let that radical realization rumble through your veins and rattle those around you.
Alas, if you fail to do so, you are betraying your own authenticity. You are hiding your true estate. You don’t want to upset others because you don’t want to upset your self. You are acting in bad faith, the taste of a bad infinity.

Because, you see, the alarming fact is that any realization of depth carries a terrible burden: those who are allowed to see are simultaneously saddled with the obligation to communicate that vision in no uncertain terms: that is the bargain. You were allowed to see the truth under the agreement that you would communicate it to others (that is the ultimate meaning of the bodhisattva vow). And therefore, if you have seen, you simply must speak out. Speak out with compassion, or speak out with angry wisdom, or speak out with skillful means, but speak out you must.
And this is truly a terrible burden, a horrible burden, because in any case there is no room for timidity. The fact that you might be wrong is simply no excuse: You might be right in your communication, and you might be wrong, but that doesn’t matter. What does matter, as Kierkegaard so rudely reminded us, is that only by investing and speaking your vision with passion, can the truth, one way or another, finally penetrate the reluctance of the world. If you are right, or if you are wrong, it is only your passion that will force either to be discovered. It is your duty to promote that discovery—either way—and therefore it is your duty to speak your truth with whatever passion and courage you can find in your heart. You must shout, in whatever way you can.”
