VC PP – Empty – Space
Wait.
Don’t fill up the empty space with nonsense.
Look at what is actually here.
The fertile, primal void is the prior condition to all the noise.
It is this condition we return to as soon as we have the space again to recognize it.
Maybe it is comical, maybe it is tragic… But it is always here, pervading everything.
And yet, despite this being the most intimate condition of our innate being, it is one we try to avoid the most.
It is the silence that precipitates all the sounds.
How is it that after hundreds of thousands of years of evolution, where our ancestors lived in the most elementary conditions in constant connection to stars, fires, earth, and seasons, that in a few short decades we have become habituated (and addicted) to super-stimuli?
The new tech seems to be our perennial pacifier, despite how oddly maladaptive we have become to its hollow promises. This isn’t to say great gains and treasures haven’t been won too; some of us do adapt better than others.
But in many cases, it appears as a Stockholm syndrome. We have grown to love our abuser, because at this point the AI promises to understand us better than we understand ourselves.
The underlying schema of so many disenfranchised is that they would rather burn it all to the ground and start over again.
It’s usually those who bought in or benefit who want to keep the system propped up, or those with children needing to survive.
Even for those of us keen on a decisive moment to strike the balance between earth and sapience, the elements and the electrified algorithmic screens…
… Are met with an evolutionary challenge.
And that simply is: living according to high ideals and noble deeds in this world of form is often quite expensive.
Quality costs, and solutions are the most expensive.
If you want to grow your own food? Land, an irrigation system, and fencing alone might cost you much more than years of store-bought food.
So, this is our conundrum.
We are adapting and maladapting, transforming and mutating, changing and, quite frankly, stranging.
And yet, nobody, despite many best efforts, can put on the brakes to the Borg. And taking action on our personal legend is its own ordeal.
Oddly too, many of us oriented towards service and the benefit of others are brought into the heart of it all.
So, all of this samsaric simulator pulses in and out of the primal, timeless void. And yet, from the void’s perspective, it’s non-existent, with no inherent being!
The void just keeps being a void.
A true companion from start to finish.
